Hello guys,
In the dxdiag file, if you see a message like ‘Miracast: Not Supported by WiFi driver’ then it means your Windows 10 PC is not compatible with Miracast. In such case, you should visit the official website of your WiFi manufacturer where you can find and install the latest compatible drivers. Miracast is disabled intentionally on Macs, even though the underlying Intel chipsets may support it. AirPlay is the alternative, in both macOS and Windows on Mac. For example, you can download and install iTunes on a BC/Windows partition and use AirPlay. The same also applies to WiDi vs AirPlay. As of Windows 10, the OS contains a native implementation of Miracast wireless displays. Drivers should no longer implement a custom Miracast display component. Support for custom Miracast implementations may be removed in a future version of Windows. What you need is proper hardware, a Miracast TV, a Miracast compatible WiFi card (I use an Intel Wireless-AC 9260 Gigabyte card, for example) and things should work nicely afterwards to mirror your screen, extend it etc., even if that logs say the driver is not supporting it, it should still work.
Install Drivers For Miracast Windows 10
I am trying to use Miracast on boot camp without success. I checked and found that it might be caused by driver issue. I checked and found the info as following:
According to the information, the Wi-Fi driver is the main cause to stop my laptop from connecting wireless display.
I really have no clue how to solve the issue now~Thank you very much if anyone could help though. Cheers
